If you don't already know, Fr. Patrick is a HUGE Pittsburgh Pirates fan!  Today he received a bat signed by the manager of the PIttsburgh Pirates accompanied by a letter from the owner of the team.  So how did this happen?  The owner of the PIttsburgh Pirates happens to be the owner of our very own Fort Dodge Messenger! 

At our opening Rock Climber Mass in September Fr. Patrick mentioned how big a fan he was of the Pirates during his homily.  One of our Rock Climber parents works for the Messenger and took into his hands to bring this moment about!  

Needless to say, Fr. Patrick was surprised and thrilled by the kind gesture.
