Hello, Holy Trinity and St Edmond's Family!!!
My name is Aaron Pohlen, and I am excited to be moving back to the Diocese of Sioux City and Fort Dodge! I am originally from Hospers, Iowa a graduate of Spalding Catholic, and was a seminarian for the Diocese of Sioux City several years back. Many of the youth may remember me from my time teaching Totus Tuus in 2010 and being covered with peanut butter, (and yes, it was unpleasant and difficult to get out of my hair). Over the past several years I have spent less time covered with peanut butter, and more time developing young disciples among the youth ministry program I ran in Central Washington State.
One thing that I have learned working with youth over the past four years in Washington is, "it takes a village to raise a child." We at Holy Trinity are all called to play our part. We each have a role to play in passing on our faith to our youth. Please prayerfully consider joining our mission and being a light and a witness to students who need a reason for hope.
I am excited to have the opportunity to be working with the youth and parents in the parish and schools! I look forward to sharing my journey in Christ with each of you. If you see me, please to not hesitate to say hello and introduce yourself. I am looking forward to an exciting year! See you soon!
In Christ,
Aaron Pohlen
