2020 Distinguished Catholic Servant-Leadership Award – Brian & Samantha McClain: Brian & Samantha are involved in parish life to an extraordinary degree. Just a few of the areas in which they are involved include: Prayer Line; working extensively with Youth Ministry and hosting youth events in their home; and participation in Masses as liturgical ministers. They were involved significantly with Summer Spirit 2019, doing much hard work to ensure its success. Brian also works with our Prison Ministry and is a member of the St. Joseph the Worker Club, where he is always one of the first to volunteer when a request for assistance comes in. Brian and Samantha always show unwavering support and unrelenting guidance to the youth and all members of Holy Trinity Parish.
2020 Lumen Christi Award – Marie Stuhrenberg:
Marie has volunteered for the parish for many years in various capacities. She has worked with Together As One (formerly Diocesan Annual Appeal) for many years and is still undertaking that responsibility. She did liturgical ministry scheduling for Sacred Heart Church for at least 15 years, scheduling all weekend Masses as well as holy day Masses and Services, with all the intricate details involved. Marie continues to be an active parish office volunteer, helping with parish mailings and special events and has always gone above and beyond to provide help and assistance. She has made a gigantic contribution of her time and talent in many areas for many years.
2021 Distinguished Catholic Servant-Leadership Award – Amanda Groth: Amanda has been a valuable addition to our liturgies as Cantor for many years, but especially over the past year when parishioners have been unable to sing. She is a member of the Holy Trinity Adult Choir and Trinity Singers, and has invested many hours in fine-tuning her craft of singing. She has also helped with cleaning and sanitizing the pews to protect us from covid. She assists with Youth Ministry, participates in Eucharistic Adoration, works with our Prison Ministry, and is a member of Legion of Mary. Amanda is very humble about her contributions and does not seek recognition. She is very worthy of this year’s award.
2021 Lumen Christi Award – Betty Kelly: Betty has always been a solid part of Sacred Heart Church and now Holy Trinity Parish, volunteering for church functions and dinners – and she is still quite active as a happy volunteer! She has been an active member of Sacred Heart Ladies Union and has sung for funerals with the Adult Choir. She has a passion for the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, being a member since 1986, a past officer, and still a very active participant. She is involved with the Prayer Line, is a parish office volunteer, is a member of Widows Walking With Jesus, and is a member of the Legion of Mary. Betty is an outstanding example of unconditional love for, and dedication to, our Catholic faith and identity.
