Dear Confirmandis and Family,
The coming year is a much anticipated sacramental year for you!  In less than a year, Spring of 2023, you will be a fully Confirmed Catholic!  I wanted to take this opportunity to share with you some important information and a few dates that will let you begin prayerfully preparing for your Confirmation. 

First, please register by going to www.holytrinitywci.org, Those students who attend one of the public schools in the county or are homeschooled please click on “Faith Formation Registration”  and then following registration instructions.  For those students who attend St. Edmond, go under links on the parish website home page and choose “St. Edmond Sacramental Preparation Registration” and the following instructions.

During this retreat the kids will hear witness talks from members of our church community, have time for small group discussions, and participate in the liturgies and sacraments including an Adoration and Reconciliation service on Saturday evening. There will also be opportunity for free time during the retreat where kids can try their hand at the rock wall or play a variety of games outside/inside. We will close out the retreat with Mass on Sunday morning! 

Who is this retreat for?: Any youth member of our parish preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation this year is expected to attend this retreat! 

Where is it?: Twin Lakes Bible Camp, Manson, Iowa 
Parents,  please fill out the consent form/liability waiver as well as the medical waiver and return it either to Mr. Zach or Brenna Peters at the parish business office. You can also scan and email a signed copy to [email protected] 

When is it?: Saturday November 19th - Sunday November 20th
This is an overnight retreat! We will be taking buses over to Twin Lakes which will depart from the St. Edmond Parking lot at 7:30AM on Saturday morning and will arrive back to the St. Edmond parking lot around 1:00PM on Sunday afternoon. Please be at the school no later than 7:15 am on that Saturday morning so we have enough time to load the buses and prepare for the weekend!

What should I bring?:

• Clothes/shoes - Participants are welcome to dress casually for the different talks and activities i.e. sweatpants, sweatshirts, jeans, t-shirts etc. I anticipate chilly weather so layers and warm clothes are recommended! 
  • I also encourage participants to bring a pair of nicer clothes for Mass on Sunday and to remember that this is a Church Retreat so please dress appropriately/modestly throughout the weekend! 
• Twin size bed sheets or a sleeping bag, pillows, and blankets
• Towel/Toiletries i.e. toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner
• Refillable water bottle
• Snacks 
• Bible, rosary, journal, reading & prayer materials 
• A positive attitude & an open heart
