My dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
Our parish, Holy Trinity, is born from a long tradition of living the Catholic Faith in Webster County. Since Fr. Vahey’s assignment in 1856 to found a parish to serve the faithful in this territory, our ancestors built houses of worship and educational centers to promote the vibrancy of the lived faith and to assure a future for those who followed them. And in doing so, every generation has sought to respond to the signs of the times and look to the future. We are all grateful to God for this gift of faith that has been passed on to succeeding generations for over 160 years. Still, we all realize that things change over time; and now our generation is being called to ‘respond to the signs of the times’ before us.
So, our today is not so different from that of our ancestors in the faith. Our parish / school long range planning from the late 1990’s onward have identified our challenge as being the provision of our Catholic Community with an efficient, safe and modern building to meet the current and future needs of our community. To this end the parish engaged the help of an architectural firm to guide a process beginning with focus groups and ending with a conceptual design that envisions a single site church, social hall and administrative offices. We are now embarking upon a capital campaign to make this vision a reality for what will be Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
The Living Our Faith, Building Our Future campaign will require an extraordinary effort on behalf of us all. We would invite you to become a part of this monumental moment in building for the future of Catholicism in Webster County.
We are truly delighted to share this vision with you, asking that you receive our message with a faithful, open heart. Our future is exciting, and we are confident that with the prayerful support of our Holy Trinity families and friends, we will remain a vibrant, faith-filled Catholic community dedicated to making God’s presence evident in our discipleship, worship, stewardship and living Christ’s love.
We thank you for taking the time to learn more about Living our Faith, Building our Future.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Monsignor Kevin McCoy
Pastor
